Derek Jeter’s Home, That Tom Brady and His Family are Renting, Was Just Listed For Sale!
It’s pretty rare that the general public gets invited inside celebrity homes.
Before we get to the star owner, let’s talk about the star renter
Tom Brady shocked the world earlier this year when he would sign a two-year $59 million deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The move dismantled what many would argue to be the most dominant dynasty in sports history.
While the football world immediately shifted its eyes to see if the sport’s most prominent power couple in Brady and legendary coach, Bill Belichick, could live without each other, the first thing was first. Brady needed a place to stay.
With Brady earning a solid $29.5 million each of the next 2 years (without state income tax in Florida, of course) and an estimated net worth of $180 million, he could probably buy any home he wanted but chose to rent. This is likely because he had to move in a pinch to get ready for training camp with his new team.
Brady chose to move into the home of another one of the world’s most prominent athletes, Derek Jeter.
Jeter is said to be baseball’s second richest player behind Alex Rodriguez. He’s worth an estimated $180 million himself with the help of movie appearances and endorsements with brands like Jordan and Gatorade. Jeter is even part-owner of a baseball team himself – he decided to purchase the Miami Marlins in 2017.
SO WHAT’S UP WITH THE HOME?
Jeter has been renting out this Tampa Bay home but is now looking to sell since he moved 4 hours southeast to settle in Miami near the Marlins facilities.
So what’s so special about the $29,000,000 home at 58 Bahama Circle that resides in the same neighborhood as former NFL player Brad Culpepper, former Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier, and former Tampa Mayor, Bob Buckhorn?
Let’s start with the basics.
Previously compared to an aircraft carrier, The Tampa Bay mansion spreads out over a sprawling near 22,000 square foot floor plan, the largest in south Tampa, That’s about $1,300 per square foot for those keeping track.
The plot beneath spans 1.25 acres, complete with 345 feet of frontage on the gorgeous Hillsborough Bay. We would wager that the plot itself is worth more than the average American home.
The confident listing agent seems to justify the price by calling the home the “Most impressive to ever hit the market in the Tampa Bay Area.” The deeper we dig into the property, the more we think he has a solid case.
The estate was custom designed as the largest ever assembled waterfront property on Davis Islands and is described with phrases like “Stunning” and “One of a kind.” The place even goes so far as making the neighbors’ homes look like guesthouses
The listing agent says that the home will be perfect for the “Luxury-minded buyer” who wants only the “Utmost in quality and impeccable attention to detail.” With that, the creator chose materials such as hand-carved Connecticut granite, limestone, and marble.
58 Bahama Circle immediately shows off double solid hardwood doors that open to a soaring 24-foot foyer, talk about a first impression!
We immediately spot hints of artistry from local craftsmen including solid hardwood millwork and hand-polished Venetian plaster.
First impressions are tied together with floor to ceiling glass windows. Considering that natural lighting is a big part of really creating the perfect ambiance, we can’t help but love the touch.
The massive windows overlook the bubbling fountains, a heated spa, and an 80-foot saltwater lap pool, all with expansive bay views.
With the prime location, it seems as if maintaining views was a consideration from every room and area of the home. Creating the home in any other way would rob occupants of the opportunity for a breathtaking experience.
Outside this continues with access to almost 9,000 square feet of outdoor covered porches and balconies to make the most of the bay frontage.
Don’t forget the dock with two boat lifts, of course!
A couple of the features that we absolutely have to show off are the clubroom, complete with full-service bar, billiards table, and TVs.
It’s the perfect place to blow off a little steam or entertain. Again, this room also features bay views with the help of a glass corner wall that allows views of the water as it leads to its own outdoor porch.
The entertainment continues with a professional in-home gym, movie theater, and even a wine cellar.
If an awesome home doesn’t have an awesome kitchen, is it really awesome?
The gourmet kitchen is large enough for a professional staff, but you don’t need to be a professional to make use of the 60″ Wolf Range, Sub Zero fridge and freezer columns, 4 dishwashers, and warming drawer.
There’s also an extra oven, microwave, 4 sinks, butler’s pantry, and a walk-in pantry w/ glass front Subzero fridge just in case you want to fill the massive home with guests and feed the entire neighborhood
Last but not least, we find the home essentials.
Laid out as a 7 bedroom, 8.8 bath home, the “Owner’s retreat” stands as the most impressive. As a calming area of rest, the space includes seating and a fireplace. It also has two custom closets, perfect for ultimate organization and storage.
It’s complete with a spa-like bath and steam shower. Again, the owner’s retreat boasts its own private balcony to make the most of the prime location.
While the owner’s suite is the most luxurious, even the smaller bedrooms and 7 other bathrooms look like a 5-star hotel
The cherry on top comes with a full home generator and state-of-the-art home automation security, lighting, window treatments, climate, and entertainment systems.
When Brady finds his way to a new home, it’s certainly going to be tough to live up to the expectations set by 58 Bahama Circle. Who knows, maybe the two superstars can come to an agreement and Brady can put his name on the deed to this home.
